Although it. I mean, it is to do my own way. In doing that. Hell, I afraid start doing some doing lol I have never seen real results of using it. From what I saw in the best time is cut. I think that is common to man. Obtain the overall strength, endurance and lose lotsa fat. You get diet plan, this is actually not bad. We'll see. Just *tried* to go for a run.... and got a side cramp not even a minute in on my left side. I'm used to occasionally getting a side stitch on my right side, but it's never happened on my left side before. Very strange. I had to just walk instead of jogging. I did get some time in with the weights, though, so not a total loss today.
Today I plan to do some more upper-body strength moves, go for a brisk uphill walk, and do my yoga routine again. I will check back in later to note my progress. My muscles feel nicely awake from yesterday's jog, weights, and yoga. Off to a good start! Update: I didn't get to walk - it was raining too hard - but I did do the yoga and the weights.
I just picked up the weights again after a few months hiatus and a month-long illness.... it felt great! I also did my standard "easy" yoga practice. I am challenging myself to weight train three days a week, run three days a week, and do yoga daily. This will be challenging to squeeze in with work, school, kids, husband, and trying to have a life, but where there's a will, there's a way. Here we go (again)!
I'm so excited about this contest I just heard about, so I figured that I'd spread the good news to other fitness enthusiasts like myself. There's a green themed social network called www.greenwala.com and they are awarding a new Spin Bike (valued at $1800) to the best photo/description of how you "Put A Positive Spin On Your Life." If you are curious about the details, please take a look at this link: http://www.greenwala.com/greenwala_contests
Well, I survived my inlaws visit, and didn't miss any of my runs at all. Running so early in the morning means that no one can complain that I'm interfering with their plans with my obsessions (yeah, whatever.) Unfortunately, I ate like a monster while they were here, and I drank. My inlaws drank so much, it was seriously disturbing. I joined in when I abstained (because I had a run the next day) and realized that while I don't need much because they're more comfortable on alcohol, I need a little when things hit the fan with them. It's the wrong reason to have a glass of wine, but it helps me keep my mouth shut when I need to. Mostly. Still, I'm so swollen from all the salt, the alcohol, and the PMS/TOM bloat I always get. I h... (1828 more chars)
Well, once again I have remembered this was here. Since I have a main blog, I never use this. But the thing is that I need a place to really whine and complain and then brag and celebrate about the fitness stuff, and my main blog gets too much traffic. I become a massive target when I do that, so I'm going to do this here. I have a 1/2 marathon in November, and to prepare I am using a "learn to run 30 minutes straight" program as my transition running program from the treadmill to the outdoors. I could probably run 30 min no problem on a treadmill, but outside? Ha, no. So, this program was a really good idea of mine at this point. I'm not suffering any real aches and pains, and I'm enjoying it. I'm also pleased with my pa... (6419 more chars)
SavyArt, A couple of months ago, I got tired of how overweight I'd gotten & how terrible I looked & felt. I wanted a change. My husband, (typical male) suggested I'd start P90X which we owned & never used. I wasn't sure I was fit for it & decided to read up on it. I came across you review which confirmed I was not fit for that program at all. In the review, you mentioned the Body For Life book & program. I did a search & that same day I'd signed up for the 12 week challenge & had ordered my copy of the book. It's been 8 weeks of amazing transformation. I've followed the program religiously & I'm now 14lbs lighter & about 10" smaller (not in height hee hee). I absolutely love the program. It is perfect for me. I don't fe... (266 more chars)
After reading the review here on the p90x and that it isn't ideal for someone not already in shape to start with, I took the advice listed and begain the BFL program. I've worked out 8 out of the past 9 days and I'm SORE, which is great. I'm making a large effort to eat well, but in general I did pretty well before. I would probably like to lose somewhere close to 30 pounds, but I am not set on a weight, I'm set on looking physically fit. Today was cardio, I hit the eliptical and did the 5 varying ranges of difficulty for 20 minutes. It was doable, although being sore from legs yesterday did make it a slow warm up. julie
